A tip that may seem silly, but can save lives: is the seatbelt fastened for everyone? It doesn't cost anything to check.
We've got a little list of tips we'd like to pass on to you, and we hope you'll follow them.
If you're a driver, here are the tips:
- Don't phone while driving. If you need help with the GPS, that's what your passengers are there for. And if you really need to make a phone call in an emergency, stop at a rest area.
- Take a break every two hours - rest is essential for optimum concentration.
- Check your tire pressure, oil level, brakes, headlights and windshield wipers.
- Check that your car insurance and roadworthiness tests are up to date.
And, of course, obey the Highway Code!
If you're a passenger, here's some advice:
- Your bag and other luggage should be placed in the trunk.
- If you have a driver's license, and if you feel like it, you're free to offer to share the ride with your driver.
- You can chat about the next mercato, or sing the praises of your favourite club, but you must respect the driver's concentration!
As for the rest, we'll leave you to enjoy the ride in a beautiful, passionate atmosphere. We wish you a pleasant journey!
